Lambdio is an E-Learning platform that teaches university courses using AI chat, which tracks progress and recommends reviewing materials according to the spaced repetition algorithm.

What spaced repetition algorithm does Lambdio use?

As for now, it has similarities with the FSRS algorithm, modified to better fit into using it for learning course chapters (longer initial intervals for the first Good/Hard grade to make it less overwhelming for beginners; more strict on later grading calculations). It is subject to change; the algorithm can change if a more effective one is developed and tested.

Why use the spaced repetition algorithm?

The spaced repetition algorithm was integrated into the project to help students track when to review the materials. The brain saves long-term memory for things it repeatedly encounters, which is why we can be frustrated when we forget the majority of what we studied a year ago, but remember items on a menu in a cafe we regularly visit.

There are 140+ courses, the majority of which are in Physics and Psychology, with some created for Economics and Computer Science. We plan to increase the number of available courses to approximately 400-600, spanning across 10-15 university majors.
