Account Deletion

This page explains how users of the Lambdio app can request the deletion of their account and associated data, or delete parts of their data without deleting their account, what data is deleted, what data is retained, and for how long.

1. How to Delete Some of Your Data (Without Deleting Your Account)

You can delete parts of your data at any time while keeping your account. These options are available inside the Lambdio app:

• Reset course progress: In My Courses, open a course and choose Reset Progress. This permanently deletes your learning progress, review schedule, quiz results, and statistics for that course, without unenrolling you.
• Unenroll from a course: In My Courses, remove an enrollment to delete all course-related data for that course.
• Clear personalization: In Account → Settings, use Clear Personalization to delete your saved preferences and personalization settings.

These actions take effect immediately and do not require deleting your account.

2. How to Delete Your Lambdio Account

You can request account deletion directly inside the Lambdio app in a few steps:

1. Sign in to your Lambdio account.
2. Go to Account (via the profile menu).
3. Open the Settings tab.
4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
5. Confirm by entering the word DELETE and re-authenticating (your password for email accounts, or a fresh Google or Apple sign-in if you use those methods).

3. What Data Is Deleted

When your account is permanently deleted, the following data is erased from our systems:

• Your profile information (name, email address, and any personalization settings).
• Your course enrollments and learning progress.
• Your quiz answers, chat history with the AI tutor, and unfinished sessions.
• Your certificates and certificate records.
• Your achievements, streaks, XP, and statistics.
• Your saved preferences and settings.

4. What Data Is Retained and Why

Some records are kept even after deletion, where required by law or necessary to fulfil a legal or financial obligation:

• Payment records: If you made any purchases, transaction and billing records are retained by our payment processors (such as Dodo Payments, RevenueCat, Apple, and Google) for legal, tax, and accounting compliance. These records do not contain your learning data.
• Backups and logs: Deleted data may persist briefly in encrypted backups and server logs before being overwritten or rotated out.
• Google account access: If you signed in with Google, we cannot remove the connection on Google's side. You can manage or revoke Lambdio's access anytime in your Google Account settings.

5. Retention Period

Your deletion request takes effect immediately: your account is locked, you are signed out, and all your data becomes inaccessible. Permanently erased data is fully removed from our production systems within 30 days of your request. Any remaining records are kept only for the minimum period required by applicable law (typically up to 7 years for financial records) and are never used for any other purpose.

Once deletion is complete, your account cannot be recovered and you will need to create a new account to use Lambdio again.
